The National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Weekend
Recruitment

The College Park Volunteer Fire Department is always recruiting new members who wish to actively participate as firefighters, emergency medical technicians, or in the non-operational capacity as an administrative member. To obtain information about joining our Department please contact the Membership Committee using the contact information provide at the bottom of this page.

Whether you are living in College Park today and want to join us immediately, or if you are a high school junior or senior elsewhere in the U.S. trying to scope out plans for your future, we want to talk with you about your membership with CPVFD. It is never too soon to get information about membership, or to start the application process. Our membership committee recruiters will provide you with all of the information you need.

We encourage you whenever possible to come visit our station, see our facility, visit the University of Maryland campus, the Maryland Fire and Rescue Institute, and to see all of the resources and amazing opportunities available to you here in College Park. We have a ride-along program and we can even accommodate you with over-night housing in our bunk wing if you are visiting from out of town or just wish to experience what it is like to volunteer in this busy, progressive fire station on the doorstep of our nation’s capitol.

Get all of the information you need by contacting the membership committee today!
