Engine and Chief Run 48 Apartment Fire
On the evening of Sunday, November 29th, 2015, Engine 812 (E122) was dispatched as the 4th due engine to a box assignment in company 48’s area. Engine 812 responded with 6 personnel. Engine 835 arrived on scene and reported smoke showing from the terrace level apartment. Engine 812 and Chief 812 arrived shortly after. Chief 812 established the command while Engine 812 acted as the second due engine, securing Engine 835’s line. The crew from Engine 812 advanced and extended the 400ft line with a standpipe rack up a ground ladder to division 2 to check for extension. While operating on division 2, Engine 812 completed a primary search which revealed no victims or fire extension, just heat and smoke. Engine 812 and Chief 12 operated for just under two hours before returning to service.
