
Truck, Chief, and B Chief Run 41 Townhouse Fire
Around 1330 hours on Monday January 4th, 2016, Truck 812 was alerted to the 11000 block of Beltsville Drive in Co 41’s area for the reported townhouse on fire. Chief 812 and Chief 812B also ran the call. BC886 arrived on scene and reported a 2 story middle of the row (MOR) townhouse with smoke showing. PE841 reported heavy smoke on division 2 with a possible fire in the attic. Chief 812B reported 3 stories in the rear with fire showing from the top floor and smoke from the attic. Chief 812 was assigned division 2 of the fire building, while Chief 812B was assigned the Delta exposure. Truck 812 arrived on scene and split its crew. The RIT crew completed a 360 of the building as well as assist with outside responsibilities. The RIT crew established a staging area on side Alpha. Truck 812’s second crew completed laddering side charlie, forcing entry on side charlie, venting side charlie, as well as venting the roof on side charlie. Units from Co 12 operated for approximately 1 hour before returning to service.
