Truck and Chief Run 44 Fatal Fire
Around 0200 hours on Tuesday, Truck 812 and Chief 812 responded to the 6700 block of Knollbrook Drive in company 44’s area for the house fire, reported with people trapped. First arriving companies went on scene with fire showing from all sides on Division 2, as well as confirmed people trapped. Truck 812 operated as the second arriving special service. The officer and search team immediately went to the second floor and removed one victim. The vent/ladders team operated outside ensuring the house was laddered on sides Charlie and Delta. The vent team also opened up the roof. Chief 812 had command. Despite the tireless efforts of fire and EMS crews on scene, all four trapped occupants passed away. Units remained on scene for approximately 8 hours before returning to service.
