In the early hours of the night on Saturday February 13th, 2016, TK12 was alerted as the 3rd due special service to the 4900 Block of Taylor Road in Co 7’s first due for the reported house on fire with people trapped. First arriving companies reported fire showing from the top floor. Due to heavy fire conditions, TK12 was reassigned from RIT to assist with search, and a fire task force was sounded. While searches proved to be negative, fire rapidly spread through the void spaces of the dwelling, resulting in the filling of the 2nd alarm. The building was then evacuated and ladder pipes placed into operation. C12 had operations. Units from Co 12 operated for approximately 5 hours before returning to service.
