
Engine and Chief Run 9 Building Fire
Shortly after 1500 hours on Wednesday July 13th, 2016 Engine 122 was alerted on the working fire dispatch to the 6000 blk. of Emerson St. in Co. 9’s first due for a working fire on the roof and in the ductwork of a high-rise apartment building. The engine arrived and reported to the roof per command where the crew stretched a line to help overhaul from above while other crews worked on the lower floors opening up and extinguishing fire in the ductwork on various floors in the building. Chief 12 was also on the scene and was the division 5 supervisor during the incident. Units from Co. 12 operated for 1 hour before returning to service.
