Truck and Chiefs Run 44 House Fire
At around 1245 on Friday, December 16th, 2016 Truck 12 was alerted as the 2nd due truck on the box to the 6900 blk. of 18th Ave. in Co. 44’s area for a report of smoke from a house. Units arrived to find a 2 story wood frame single family with smoke showing and requested the working fire dispatch. Truck 12 arrived and was assigned the search group by command and completed a primary of division 2 while the outside crew assisted with laddering the dwelling. Units found a room off in the rear on the first floor and quickly extinguished the same while Truck 12 reported a negative primary and no extension to the second floor or attic. Chief 12 assisted at the command post and Chief 12B was assigned “interior”. Units operated for about 1 hour before returning to service.
