
Engine and Chief Run 35 Apartment Fire
At around 0045 hours on Wednesday December 21st, 2016 Engine 122 was alerted as the second due engine on the box to the 7800 blk. of Hanover Parkway in Co. 35’s area for a report of an apartment on fire. First arriving units reported fire through the roof of a 3 story garden style apartment building. E122 arrived and secured a water supply for the first engine while the crew stretched a line to division 2. Units found fire on the second and third floor as well as the attic. The crew from E122 opened up and extinguished fire in the void spaces on division 2 while units worked to contain the fire on the third floor and the attic area. Chief 12 had the Hanover Parkway Command and a second alarm was requested as a precaution. The units from Co. 12 operated for approximately 2.5 hours before returning to service.
