Around 1300 hours, Truck 812 was alerted to the 6100 block of Ruatan St for a reported house on fire.  First arriving units advised that they had smoke showing a requested the working fire dispatch.  During the initial 360, units discovered a fire on side charlie that was extending into the house.  Truck 812 arrived and proceeded to side charlie.  Truck 812 entered the house via the exterior basement steps located on side charlie and began searching.  After clearing the basement, Truck 812 went up to division one to assist with opening up.  Companies still had fire in the back wall and in the attic.  Truck 812’s exterior crew worked with other on scene crews to open the roof and provide ventilation.  Companies quickly extinguished the fire and all searches were negative.  Chief 812 had command.
