Members Attend FEMA, DHS Class in New Mexico
Two members of the CPFD are attending an Incident Response to Terrorist Bombings class in New Mexico. This class is sponsored by the Federal Emergency Management Agency, and Department of Homeland Security. Class topics include identifying potential hazards, response procedures, command structure, and hazard mitigation. The class is hosted at New Mexico Tech, and includes several days of classroom and practical sessions, including time at the bomb range. Members will bring this knowledge back to College Park to prepare company officers and firemen with the knowledge necessary to handle large scale incidents if they occur in our area.
