
Combination Volunteer and Career crew run First Due Engine to House Fire
Engine 122 as second due and Ambulance 128 were dispatched to the 4200 block of Ulster Rd for the reported house fire at approx. 11:15 this morning. Battalion Chief 886 arrived on scene first and advised fire showing from the basement of a two story split level home. Chief 12 and Engine 122 arrived shortly after to assume first due responsibilities. 122’s crew stretched a line through the front door and extinguished fire in the basement, and then redeployed the line to division two to extinguish some extension. Units from Company 12 operated for approximately 30 mins, and remained on scene to assist fire investigators. During this time, volunteers staffed a second ambulance while units were tied up on the fire.
