New Ambulance 127 Placed in Service
On Monday, April 1st 2019, the members and officers of Company 12 proudly placed the new Ambulance 127 in service. This addition to the CPVFD fleet is the result of months of hard work by the apparatus committee, officers, chiefs, engineers, and many others to make this unit ready to serve College Park and the surrounding community.
Ambulance 127 is a 2019 Ford F550 with a Horton box, it includes features such as liquid magnet spring suspension, 4 point provider safety harnesses, and a power load cot system funded by the recent acquisition of an Assistance to Firefighters Grant. All of these features are designed to improve patient and provider safety, and allow us to improve the service we provide in our area.
A127 is currently the first out ambulance of 3 CPVFD owned EMS units. This unit will also frequently run as a volunteer Paramedic Ambulance with CPVFD paramedics and Advanced Life Support equipment, another service that the volunteers of College Park provide.
