Busy 24hrs for Company 12

On Monday afternoon, June 13, E122, TK12 and C12 responded to a townhouse fire on Palamar Ter. in Co. 48’s area. First arriving units reporting smoke showing. E122 staged on Side Alpha while TK12 completed searches of the Delta exposure.
Early Tuesday morning, TK12 responded on a 2-alarm explosion at a senior living facility in Bowie. The truck crew was assigned to set up and assist evacuees at the city gym, which was used as a relocation point for most of the residents. Many of the residents had mobility issues which resulted in the use of several area medical ambulance buses. TK12 operated on scene for approximately 4 hours before returning to service. CPVFD fielded over a dozen other incidents during this 24 hour period as well.
